Play without an account
Blockfall and Colorfall do not put registration before the first move. Guests can complete Classic runs and progress through Journeys on the current device.
What guests can play
Classic Blockfall and Classic Colorfall open directly from their game pages. A guest can finish a run, see the result and later claim supported session data after signing in. Both game Journeys can also begin without an invitation code or account.
Weekly Challenge and Tournament require an account because every public competitive score must belong to a verified player and recoverable competition session. Configuring the Practice Lab also requires sign-in.
How guest Journey progress is stored
The server creates a random guest identity and the browser keeps its secure device token. Progress is not only held in JavaScript memory: the same browser can request unlocked levels, stars and best results from the server on a later visit.
This is not cross-device sync. Private browsing, clearing cookies, changing browsers or moving to another phone can remove access to an unclaimed guest identity. Create an account before doing so if the progress matters.
What happens after sign-in
After successful sign-in, the server attempts to claim supported Classic sessions and this device’s Journey progress for the account. Journey merging is monotonic: a higher account level, stronger score or greater star count cannot be reduced by a lower guest state.
If the account already progressed further on another device, the stronger account record remains. Claiming requires both this browser’s guest token and an authenticated account session; it does not merge arbitrary devices or another person’s play.
What remains account-only
Guests do not enter public Weekly or Tournament rankings. Sparks, power-up inventory, treasure crates, avatars, name effects, friends, direct challenges and chat belong to an account. Journey power-ups remain visible to guests but disabled.
That restriction does not block learning. Guests can complete levels and decide whether either game fits them. An account adds persistent progression and social identity, not permission for the first play.
Privacy and verifiable play
A guest identity requires no name or email. Its technical token lets the server retrieve the correct device progress and does not create a public profile. The privacy and cookie pages explain functional data use.
Supported guest results still follow server-side rules. Creating an account does not turn an arbitrary on-screen number into a verified record; only valid sessions and replayable game data are claimed.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an invitation code?
No. Registration and guest play do not require an invitation code.
Will guest progress move to a new phone?
Not by itself. Link it to an account first, then sign in on the other device.
Can signing in overwrite better account progress?
Journey merging keeps the stronger existing state and does not reduce account stars, best scores or unlocked progress.
